ABOUT
Manhattan Ave is an artist-led brand creating print-on-demand goods designed to connect. Founded by Hectah is a Brooklyn native, artist and visual storyteller whose work spans music, film, television, advertising, and community arts. From murals and teaching programs in Brooklyn to motion graphics, album art, documentaries, and visual campaigns, his work has always been rooted in culture,nd the everyday details of life.
PHILOSOPHY
We don’t want to add more junk to the landfills. We chose print-on-demand because we want to make things with intention, not piles of throwaway product. Too many times we wanted a shirt for a moment, an occasion, or a feeling and couldn’t find anything good or unique. Manhattan Ave is about making pieces people actually want to keep.
PRODUCT
We chose Comfort Colors after testing and surveying a few other options because the fit, feel, wash, and overall quality matched what we want to accomplish. We could have gone cheaper for bigger profit margins or picked options with better branding options, but that’s not why we’re doing this. The goal is for people to look good, feel good, and wear the crap out of the shirt because it's their favorite.
